2. How we use personal data and why

  • To provide our services: quotes, contracts, scheduling collections, treatment and disposal, documentation and invoicing (performance of a contract).
  • To meet legal and regulatory duties: waste tracking, environmental and municipal reporting, tax and accounting records (legal obligation).
  • To answer you: enquiries, support and complaints (your request, and our legitimate interest in serving customers).
  • To improve and secure our services and website: service quality, fraud prevention and IT security (legitimate interest).
  • To share news and marketing: posts on our own social media pages, and emails only where you have agreed or are an existing customer; you can opt out at any time (consent or legitimate interest).
  • To publish photos of people: only with their consent, or as otherwise allowed by law.

3. Our social media pages

We publish content on our company pages on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, using the official tools those platforms provide, including their application programming interfaces (APIs) for publishing posts we have approved. When you follow, like, comment on or message our pages, the platform processes your data under its own privacy policy, and we can see what you choose to share with our page. We use this only to manage our pages and respond to you. We do not sell it or combine it with other data to build profiles, and we keep any data received through these platforms only as long as needed to manage our pages and as the platforms’ terms allow.

4. Who we share personal data with

  • Service providers working for us, such as IT, cloud hosting, email, customer-relationship and accounting systems, and our licensed treatment and recycling facilities in the UAE, only as needed to provide the service.
  • Authorities and regulators where the law requires it, for example environmental, municipal or tax authorities.
  • Professional advisers, such as auditors and lawyers.
  • A buyer or successor if our business is reorganised or sold, under confidentiality.

We do not sell personal data.

5. Transfers outside the UAE

Some of our service providers (for example cloud and software providers) may store or process data outside the UAE. When that happens we use providers and safeguards that give an adequate level of protection, as required by UAE law.

6. How long we keep personal data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above: customer and contract records for the duration of the relationship and the period required by UAE commercial, tax and environmental record-keeping rules; enquiries that do not lead to a contract for up to 24 months; website analytics for up to 14 months. After that we delete or anonymise it.

7. How we protect personal data

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encryption in transit, staff confidentiality and training, and supplier contracts that require the same care. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly on any incident, including notifying authorities and affected people where the law requires.

8. Your rights

Under UAE law you may, subject to legal limits:

  • ask for information about and a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to delete data or restrict how we use it;
  • object to processing, including for direct marketing, and withdraw consent at any time;
  • ask for your data to be transferred to another provider where technically possible.

To use these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within the time required by law and may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the UAE Data Office.
